Canadian Children’s Book Week is the single most important national event celebrating Canadian children’s books and the importance of reading. Each May, over hundreds of readings are given to thousands of children, teens and adults in over communities across the country as we make every possible effort to reach children in more remote. The Book Week tour ensures that children in these isolated communities are included in the national celebration of books and reading. Canadian creators benefit greatly from the CCBC's publications and programs, which provide them with publicity, award opportunities and even work, in the case of TD Canadian Children's Book Week.
